Infrastructure Assessment: What We Look For First

Infrastructure assessments are most valuable when they expose operability risk early—before modernization budgets are locked to the wrong sequence of work.

We typically look first at ownership and observability. If no one can explain who owns a critical system, or how failure would be detected, architecture diagrams alone will not save the programme.

Next come identity and access boundaries, network segmentation, backup and recovery assumptions, and dependency maps across hybrid estates. These areas repeatedly determine whether a modernization plan is realistic.

Finally, we examine handover quality: documentation, acceptance criteria and the path into continuous operation. A programme that cannot describe how it will be run after go-live is not ready to scale delivery.

The output should be an actionable modernization path—not a catalogue of findings without ownership.
